OK, Let me get this straight. They are here illegally and you are OK with it. Can we at least be honest and instead of calling it "cheap labor" we factor in what it costs in "public assistance" etc? Is it really cheap then? (the answer is No)

There is a lot of ignorance in the U.S. when it comes to "who owns this lands"; doesn't anybody know and understand how the ancestors of today's so call american people came to this lands ? You're right they came here pointing guns at (NATIVE INDIANS) heads, raping women, killing their children and stealing there lands...

Answer to yourself this question, would you fight someone pointing a gun to your head ?

It is such ignorance to say that the ancestors of the today's U.S. born Europeans worked hard to have what they have today because they didn't work for it, what they did was obtained it by commiting brutal crimes against the TRUE OWNERS OF THIS LAND (THE NATIVE INDIANS) and lets not forget the crimes against black people and slavery...is that what you call sacrifice and hard work ? !!!

One thing is true in history, every empire has its end...and hopefully we get to witness the end of the U.S. empire. cause it is shown through the 231 years of history that U.S. born Europeans as long as they have a gun in their hands they will always use it to commit crimes against humanity.

So to all you U.S. born Europeans enjoy it while it last cause there is an end to everything in life...

So glad that you are writing about America's proud history of mass deportation. Whenever I hear people whine "we can't just deport these people", I love to proudly recount how Ike deported almost 3 million illegal invaders from Mexico. Mexicans need to stay home and improve thier own country.

Cathreina

Justice will only come when we truely are about to talk about the real issue and that is racism. Because no matter what laws they put in book, it comes down to one thing - everyday people. Since racism is on the rise, what is to say that some racist person doesn't turn you or me or an legal citizen in.

The argument is really blured if you look at the big picture. One arguement is that the "Mexicans" are taking the jobs. The other is it is all the undocumented. And this is where the problem comes in. We really don't have accurate numbers. Even the Pew Foundation will admit to it:
-----
Unfortunately, the United States does not have very good data on the numbers of new immigrants arriving in the country each year and no single source of data adequately measures such flows. Available data from immigration agencies are generally designed for administrative purposes rather than as measures of the number of people moving into the United States; immigrants arriving outside legal channels have increased numerically and as a share of the total inflow.
-----
And this is important to remember. tracking people who actually left is not recorded. How many are in limbo that being counted as undocumented?

So even people who are semi-legal are in danger because they are in limbo and still considered illegal.

The "use them and lose them" policy of the US must stop!

Good point, however........
The exploitation of our people began with them and ends with them when they chose to enter this country by breaking the laws of this country. Many of our ancestors worked hard and sacrificed in order to enter this country through the legal process and are rewarded with the rights of this country. Where is their justice and where is the justice for those who attempt to enter this country by legal means?

Great story of the oft untold history of exploitation of Mexican labor.

It looks as if history does repeat itself. Will the US continue opening it's doors when it is in search of cheap labor, but throw them out whenever there is a problem.
