You never answered the question is Cesar Chavez a racist. He testified before congress that illegal immigration was a tool to drive wages down in 1979 . His brother Manuel ran the first Minuteman project. And MLK successor Robert Abernathy, Walter Mondale with the Chavez brothers demonstrated to block the boarders from illegal immigrants. Will you block the conversation like you did on MY Left Wing. Why not try making your point without hate?
How did I block the conversation at My Left Wing? Funny, I thought I did make my point and there was no hate in my point either, where did that come from?
Preach it John! If you want to see them block a conversation, try asking how many of them convert to Muslim as soon as they get across our border.
And don’t even think of asking the politically correct crowd how come they seem so interested in our American women.
It’s not too hard to put two and two together here.
At some point we have to ask the question. Do these radicals support the war on terror or not?
At least Chavez knew his place. You think they will be satisfied to work in the fields now? Hell no, they are using that as an excuse to get their foot in the door, become Muslims, get themselves an American girl run up the Mexican flag and go after our middle class jobs!
I am a retired Merchant Marine and I know what I am talking about.
You know us so well, Lou? However, you maybe seeing things through lil homie glasses when it comes to American women and Latin lovers. Some of us are just gifted in lower places than others and that’s just the way it is.
XP,
You made my point in your post on My Left Wing and then called me a racist. The truth is immigration is being used as a tool to drive wages down for American families. Paul Krugman has now admitted this is the truth. The biggest victims of this policy of unregulated immigration are African Americans and Mexican Americans.I guess they are racist if they speak up in your view?
John, after all I’ve done to make it respectable to stand up and defend our traditional demographic and our values, you just buy into their trap!
If it’s racist to want those lower paying jobs to go to our African American and legal Mexican populations, while we keep our middle class intact, then maybe racist isn’t such a bad thing to be.
You know as well as I do that those legal Mexicans and their African-American cousins have their eyes on our American cubicle jobs, with health care. And yes, the pretty blond women that come with those privileges.
That’s what freedom is all about, John. That’s why they have to be stopped. The liberals have given them ideas, they’ve given them an inch, and now you can see they want a mile.
They want to move on up to the big time, John, to a dee-luxe apartment in the sky. And to do that they have to bring in their six million other cousins from Mexico, and you know what else they will do, John.
They will make our American children bilingual. That’s right, after generations of carefully making sure that foreign language instruction in our schools is enough to help understand when terror is being threatened and ask for another cerveza down there in Cancun(beautiful place by the way, and they speak English, thank goodness, and very very grateful people. Very humble.) without having them start to sound like foreigners or pick up ideas, like they have in France.
That’s the danger, John. Ideas. Our kids don’t go to school to get ideas. They go so they can get jobs and learn to live Christian lives, because this is a Christian nation, not a nation of Muslism and praying to Mary, if there’s a dime’s worth of difference there, which for my money, there isn’t.
Wake up America!
XP,
I will say it again , you have no argument , other than slurs. Without being honest , it is hard to see the solution
I am pretty sure immigration is big over there in Georgiafornia, but then I guess there would be, Georgia did have that open invite in 1996 to help build all those venues for the Summer Olympics, then after asked them to stick around and help in the poultry industry, I hear Georgiafornia ranks number one in the nation. So, I would imagine there would be a lot of illegal immigrants, yet the state economy sort of depends on them.
I am pretty sure now with the new bill passed, local police will start holding periodical roundups of these un-patriotic illegals. I mean come on, how patriotic is it when they start getting uppity and start talking about living the American dream. Those ungrateful bastards, with there non-English speaking demands.
So what exactly will Georgia do with them once they are caught? Under the bill, local police officers in Georgia would be able to assume extra powers - they get to play INS, but they wont be doing the deportation thing, that is is still up in the air. And if they aren’t jailing them, then what are they going to do with them? Maybe Lou can shed some light into this?
I guess when that happens, Georgiafornia can follow Rep. Dana Rohrabacher suggestion,
“let the prisoners pick the fruits.”
Sounds like a plan.
Georgia used to be such a beautiful state, full of spanish moss and gracious belles in pastel gowns, with those lovely accents. It was a sweet, slow paced land that time forgot but good manners and delicious fried chicken had not.
Today you are right to call it Georgiafornia because it is so full of Mexicans that you cannot go out of the door without hearing them jabbering their gibberish. And the government there encourages it, even the stores have signs in Spanish and some of them are even worse, signs in Chinese, signs in Muslim. They don’t even use the Christian letters.
They ought to be locked up for that, but Mr. Konop is strangely silent on this issue. Just another Hillarypublican who doesn’t walk the walk.
He watches my show, he writes me fan letters, but when the chips are down and his people need a leader we discover that Mr. Konop is IN FAVOR of letting children of foreigners, many of whom could be terrorists, take over our schools - as long as they are TAUGHT in English, but of course they will be free to speak gibberish to our American children on the playground and in the rest rooms, and we all know what goes on in THERE!
………….Aaaahhh!…………echoing the lovely Sounds of Silence. Are ya finished re-gurgitating and cavorting in, your ego racist vomit shit yet? Are you quite through gratifying and force-feeding the little monster inside? Huh?
XP,
I am sorry you can not get past the anger to answer the question about, if Cesar Chavez is a resist for wanting to control immigration ? Did you feel sorry for the illegal immigrants that Cesar,Manuel,Walter Mondale and MLK successor would not let in our country illegally ? XP the question is not about me, it is about Americans concerned about wages.
I am sorry racist not resist. I would like hear your answer without anger.
Like I said stop spreading propaganda. What do you really think I am going take your word without looking into your claims.
His brother Manuel ran the first Minuteman project. And MLK successor Robert Abernathy, Walter Mondale with the Chavez brothers demonstrated to block the boarders from illegal immigrants. I saw where you got that your propaganda. Please no supporting evidence and all made up.
This is comes from the drudge like report from the LA Times which by the way is being sued for libel.
Cesar Chavez rose to national prominence through his campaign to win higher wages, better working conditions and respect for farmworkers. Here are key points in the history of this movement:
1965: First grape strike starts in Delano and spreads in Central Valley.
1966: Chavez leads thousands of farmworkers on 340-mile march from Delano to Sacramento.
1967: First national grape boycott begins.
1968: Chavez’s first fast, to promote nonviolence. Fast broken with U.S. Sen. Robert F. Kennedy.
1970: Central Valley table grape growers, under pressure from boycott’s success, agree to sign contracts. Lettuce and vegetable strike starts in Salinas Valley after growers sign Teamsters contracts.
1973: Table grape growers also sign contracts with Teamsters, costing UFW most of its members. Strikes, violence, second national grape boycott follow; UFW, now part of AFL-CIO, drafts its first constitution.
1975: Agricultural Labor Relations Act signed, due to combined pressure of boycott, strikes, other protests. Union representation elections begin; Harris Poll reports 17 million Americans boycotting grapes in early 1970s.
1977: UFW signs pact in which Teamsters agree not to try to organize farmworkers.
1979: Lettuce and vegetable strikes start in Imperial, then Salinas valleys. By fall, UFW signs contracts with record wage increases, 50% over three years.
1984: Third grape boycott starts, focused on pesticide use; has little effect and ends in 2000.
Marches that would include those people and the testifing before Congress as you mentioned would be considered key. Yet why weren’t they mentioned? Opps, I guess it wasn’t really there.
Quotes and historical references are drawn from letters, board minutes, memos and statements and tape recordings made during the 1970s and 1980s. The material is housed in the UFW archives at the Walter P. Reuther Library at Wayne State University in Detroit. And to help here is the link.

Have a nice day.

Thank you for the tone and thoughtfulness in your posting. Do you not think , that Cesar Chavez was not concerned about the supply and demand use of illegal immigrants to drive wages down ? Paul Krugman from the left and Paul Craig Roberts both agree wages are going down.
Forget Iran, Americans Should be Hysterical About This
Nuking the Economy
By PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS
Last week the Bureau of Labor Statistics re-benchmarked the payroll jobs data back to 2000. Thanks to Charles McMillion of MBG Information Services, I have the adjusted data from January 2001 through January 2006. If you are worried about terrorists, you dont know what worry is.
Job growth over the last five years is the weakest on record. The US economy came up more than 7 million jobs short of keeping up with population growth. Thats one good reason for controlling immigration. An economy that cannot keep up with population growth should not be boosting population with heavy rates of legal and illegal immigration.
Over the past five years the US economy experienced a net job loss in goods producing activities. The entire job growth was in service-providing activities–primarily credit intermediation, health care and social assistance, waiters, waitresses and bartenders, and state and local government.
US manufacturing lost 2.9 million jobs, almost 17% of the manufacturing work force. The wipeout is across the board. Not a single manufacturing payroll classification created a single new job.
The declines in some manufacturing sectors have more in common with a country undergoing saturation bombing during war than with a super-economy that is the envy of the world. Communications equipment lost 43% of its workforce. Semiconductors and electronic components lost 37% of its workforce. The workforce in computers and electronic products declined 30%. Electrical equipment and appliances lost 25% of its employees. The workforce in motor vehicles and parts declined 12%. Furniture and related products lost 17% of its jobs. Apparel manufacturers lost almost half of the work force. Employment in textile mills declined 43%. Paper and paper products lost one-fifth of its jobs. The work force in plastics and rubber products declined by 15%. Even manufacturers of beverages and tobacco products experienced a 7% shrinkage in jobs.
The knowledge jobs that were supposed to take the place of lost manufacturing jobs in the globalized new economy never appeared. The information sector lost 17% of its jobs, with the telecommunications work force declining by 25%. Even wholesale and retail trade lost jobs. Despite massive new accounting burdens imposed by Sarbanes-Oxley, accounting and bookkeeping employment shrank by 4%. Computer systems design and related lost 9% of its jobs. Today there are 209,000 fewer managerial and supervisory jobs than 5 years ago.
In five years the US economy only created 70,000 jobs in architecture and engineering, many of which are
