[...] None of this should be blamed on AMLO. Mexico was already plagued with turmoil. A conflict that began nearly six months ago in southern Oaxaca City over teacher wages had rose to the point that the city’s schoolteachers had decided to go on strike, which they later blocked the streets fearing that they would be attacked from Mexico’s military. The condition in Oaxaca was so bad, that a legitimate popular uprising took place where a group called the People of Oaxaca (APPO) had seized portions of the city demanding that removal of Oaxaca’s Governor Ulises Ruiz. Later in October, Indymedia journalist and videoblogger Brad Will was the killed while covering the teacher’s strike in Oaxaca. [...]

TourPro - It is unfortunate the motorcyclist died, however, it seems you are assuming that the activist are unconcerned about his death. But I think you were pretty harsh to call it a homicide. But the article you cited from is a known right wing paper, which is very slanted towards the government.

See you wrote about the motorcyclist, yet you didn't write about Pedro Garcia, the student activist who was snatched at 2:20 PM in full view of observers. What, does his life have less value compared to the motorcyclist since Pedro was an activist? Or how about the two people who were also snatched up by plainclothes thugs? But then again I really shouldn't expect that much from you, since you too have your own biases - considering you feel that people on "left are inherently lazy." Funny, one can also say those on the right are inheretly heartless and see no value in human life. Only cherry picking events that suit the status quo you and your ilk perfer to push.

So are you going to right about the people who were <a href="http://narcosphere.narconews.com/story/2006/10/3/92537/7759">abducted</a>?

Thanks, when I saw that, I couldn't let that one go. Something tells, that something is about to start. People were expecting a Calderon-AMLO show down, which still could happen on Nov 20 and Dec 1. But I think it all starts in Oaxaca and it is the catalyst.
