A Blog Birthday

A year ago, I posted my first entry on blogstop. When I started this I looked at this as an experiment, I never though I would be able to maintain a blog. So I told myself, I would just take it one day at a time, and if I’d show up to write something, hopefully that something would be fresh and insightful. Today I can say I am a blogger and blogged on average 3 times a week in my first year. So who knows when this adventure will end? And when anyhow is anything truly done?
I will admit there have been some highs and lows this past year. Yet something had grabbed of hold of me that wanted to keep showing up. One reason, I have met so many new friends, that has really become a joy. But you cannot help feel a bit sadden when a fellow blogger has decided to pack in their keyboard, even though they maybe miles apart, they did have an impact. But like the saying goes, for every door that closes, another opens and that is so true.
This really has been a journey I never really expected. Like any journey in life, we grow and learn a little about ourselves. Isaac Asimov said, “Self-education is, I firmly believe, the only kind of education there is.” I honestly can say I have learned a lot this past year.

- I have already reach 15,000 visits
I like to thank everybody for reading this blog, and all of your comments over the past year. In the sprite of giving and firsts, I present a short music vid, I did based on that John Mellencamp’s song “Our Country”
