Teacher’s Undocumented Victim Not Allowed Back Into US and Family to be Deported
Kelsey Peterson, a 25-year-old sixth-grade math teacher and basketball coach at Lexington Middle School, accused of running away with an undocumented 13-year-old boy to plan some sort of life together in Mexico was arrested on Friday night in Mexicali, Mexico, on the California border.
The boy was released to relatives in Mexico and is being reported that he will not be allowed to come back to US because of his immigration status. The only way he will be able to allow back is if he is needed to testify. To make matters worse, the family will now be deported according to the Omaha World-Herald.
Tim Counts, spokesman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, would not say whether Fernando’s parents would come under scrutiny for their immigration status, saying the department does not discuss prospective cases.
The World-Herald also reported that he would be a candidate for a humanitarian visa or a witness visa, both of which would allow him to return to Nebraska, but all of them are temporary. In the end, it is the Department of Homeland Security that would have final approval of any visa for him.
According to authorities, the boy was last seen on Saturday, Oct. 26, one day after the school placed Peterson on administrative leave. A judge issued an arrest warrant last Monday charging Ms. Peterson with kidnapping, child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Peterson fled with the boy after police began investigating whether the pair had an intimate relationship. According to court documents, the authorities had recovered several e-mail messages and letters in which Ms. Peterson and the boy professed affection for each other.
Laura Rodriguez, the boy’s mother – not the aunt that is being reported – said the family believed Peterson gave the boy a cell phone without his family’s knowledge so she could reach him more easily. Court documents revealed that Peterson’s school-issued laptop contained letters to the student, including one from April saying she loved him, thought he loved her, was “100 percent faithful” to him and would always be faithful.
Peterson is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday to see if she would agree to be sent to Nebraska to face charges. She is being held without bail at Imperial County Jail in El Centro, CA.
Note: I know that the media has identified the teen, however, I refuse do so because he is still a victim of a sex crime. I will not identify him out respect to him and his family.

have you seen anxious black woman’s response to this? she wonders why all these white women keep doing this to boys of color–new fetish i guess, amongst white women? And even more pointedly, she asked what would have happened if a black woman or woman of color had kidnapped a white kid and took him across the border?
