Gracias, hermano. I voted for Obama in IL when he was running for senator and remember thinking "oh please, please don't run for president!" I'm discouraged by the arrogance and verbal wrangling, and also embarrassed. I'm one of those wishing Edwards and Kucinich had not dropped out.

Well, we go forward. Let's hope for the best and prepare for mediocrity.

Yes he is and very inspirational. I understand why his excitement as to why he is voting. If I had a chance to talk to him, I would ask him to read Black Agenda Report's Margaret Kimberley Freedom Rider: Progressives Cave to Obama and Glen Ford's Obama's White Men: Do They Hear Something Blacks Don't?

I was seriously considering voting for Cynthia McKinney, but Nader is undermining the possibility of the Green Party becoming a viable third party.

I heard the Dems were going to try for one of those "can't we just get along" speeches during the conventions, however, I think it will be too late. After everything is said and done, I think there is going to be a bitter taste in everybody's mouth.

I hear you. To be sincere it's going to be an uphill battle for whatever democratic candidate remains. The battle lines are drawn, and I'm not sure they can be crossed over. This bitter campaign for the primaries might be the Waterloo that finishes up the democratic parties at the presidential elections. The democrats might be handing off the next election to the republicans and that is a damn shame.
