I think so much of America is focused on Media that Latino representatives on American Idol can bring to the spotlight the struggles and injustices that Latinos across the nation face. This is how discussions start and how we mobilize for change. I agree. I agree we need to have more of a presence in congress and the administration, but we must remember that the media is quite possibly the only "link" to the outside world for a lot of people, Hispanics included. So, the few latinos on American Idol is a great thing indeed!! We have representation on CNN and other news channels as well. Go Raza!! Latino representation is important in EVERYTHING!!!
