I am advising my husband to sell any stocks we have in the Vanguard Group.

Its clear that people can not trust Wall Street or the large banks..which have damaged the US economy..while taking billions of taxpayer dollars.

This is just plain dumb and is another example of how partisan and one sided many of the criticism’s from the left are.

Vanguard is one of the largest index fund providers in the world. Its name is widely trusted and is where a lot of people go for simple, low cost index funds. The fact that because Cheney invested money in some index fund there, that may have had some money invested in a company that manages prisons, and some of those prisoners got mistreated somehow makes Cheney morally culpable is a stretch, to say the least.

But of course many liberal fundamentalists, especially those who don’t know the difference between Vanguard Group and Vanguard the military term, will jump on this like wildfire.
