Jon Stewart Takes CNBC To Task
Jon Stewart runs through old clips of CNBC getting everything wrong about the economy at every possible turn in the road. Remember when John McCain canceled on David Letterman and how he suffered three weeks of Letterman’s wrath for abruptly canceling an appearance under false pretenses only to head for a sitdown with news anchor Katie Couric.
This time CNBC’s Rick Santelli canceled on Jon Stewart and he made sure let him have it. And then, for eight minutes, Stewart ripped the crew of CNBC a new one. Steward ended his tirade “If only I’d followed CNBC’s advice, I’d have a million dollars, provided I’d started with a hundred million dollars.” I’ll say, let him have it Jon.
Experts my ass, they are bunch of con artist getting paid the big buck by NBC.
UPDATE: Stewart clarified that the “Daily Show” did plan to air its CNBC’s follies before Rick Santelli was scheduled to appear on the program, as opposed to having done so in response to him canceling on that appearance.
