Taking The Gospel Out To The Streets: Confronting The Minutemen
As my esteem colleague Jill Garvey of Imagine2050 highlighted in her post, the Chicago and IL Minutemen did show up to protest the National Council of La Raza’s (NCLR) Annual Conference on Sunday. So Jill, Kyle of Citizen Orange, and I decided to speak to the 10 or so minutemen members gathered outside. Truthfully, Jill spoke to them, while Kyle video taped the confrontation and I took pictures of it.
If you haven’t had a chance to read Jill’s entry of the matter and how Chicago’s most prominent anti-immigrant activist, Rosanna Pulido, ran from us once she saw us coming, please do so.
Worry not my dear readers, Jill was not the only one confronting them, I too got to tangle with them. Once they felt the force of my verbal machete they all literally hightailed out of dodge like their fearless cowardless leader Rosanna Pulido. I will write more about my encounter with the bigoted gentleman pictured above with Jill when I get back home. As some readers know, writing short posts is my not usual style. However, I am making an exception since I have been out of the loop for a couple of months.
Anyway, it just goes to show, some people talk a good game, but when confronted they are just racist spewing out hate.

ha!ha! I saw them too but didn’t bother confronting them. I’m glad you all did–great comedy!
Comedy being the operative word because the more logic I used, the worse their debating skills got. After a while all he could tell me, we need to protect the borders.
we’ll try this again.
just where was this verbal machete?
Was it the one coward circling around an older woman who was protesting?
or the whiner who tried to claim he was elvira’s atty. The same kind of coward who was picked up a block away by a fellow coward who yelled out the window that we are racists.
or maybe the little mexican with the IQ equivalent of a burrito?
There was one person who actually had a serious dialogue with me.
maybe if you folks would actually listen instead of spew you might get an understanding of why people protest.
and as I told the gal who was trying to link the local minutemen to a murder in Arizona, if she can blame all the minutemen for that crime then we surely could blame laraza and their unyielding support for illegals and open borders for the ambush murder of a border patrol agent that previous weekend.
Oddly, she claimed to know nothing about that murder.
one more. There was a man who I believe said he was here on a visa from spain and was a teacher. He had dialogue with some of the protestors in a calm demeanor.
There wasn’t much agreement in beliefs but at least it was respectful dialogue.
Mr. orange shirt elvira was calling him a racist until he noticed the nclr bag the ‘teacher’ was carrying. Obviously Mr. o.s. elvira wasn’t there to do anything but hear himself speak and try to start a fight.
