Chabuka,

Public health care is not what we need, like was already pointed out, the police, schools, postal service etc are all terribly run. Yes there are people who need healthcare but cannot afford it, why not deal with them instead of offering blanket coverage to everyone in the US. Your view on an exec/ceo is also very skewed. Although there are ceos out there that do think that way, that doesn't mean they all do or that if someone doesn't like their current coverage they can't switch.

HP: "This is an argument against government run healthcare: public education!

If healthcare will treat the poor half as bad as public schools do, I REALLY dont want it!"

What are you talkin' 'bout HP?

Look at what gov has done for the Postal Service, Police/Fire service, DMV, CA Dept of Corrections and everything else it touches.

What is needed is more competition. Companies are reluctant to invest in the industry because of too much regulation and what's the gov's solution? MORE GOVERNMENT!

Hispanic Pundit...Funny....I just read that Old Mexico has Universal Health Care..so why are you complaining about a "public option" in this country...? You would rather have a profit driven Insurance CEO/Exec tell your doctor whether or not you can have that treatment/test/operation that will save you, or the lives of your loved ones...Are you nuts...? I don't always trust "our" government either....but I sure as hell trust "our" government over an Insurance Exec who wants a new corporate jet, an extended 20,000 a day vacation in the Bahamas, or to buy into some new derivative scheme on Wall Street...
